Lorraine Hogg's glass jewellery is bold and vibrant . Each piece is full of texture and visual depth, and has been entirely hand-crafted.
She designs and makes wearable contemporary fashion jewellery in a range of designs to suit all sorts of occassins, from everyday streetware to wedding accessories.
All Lorraine's jewellery is individually made using various techniques including building up layers of glass and multiple firings. no moulds are used, and no pre-cut glass.
Lorraine is a magpie and gets her insperation from all sorts of different sources. She is interested in industrial architecture, and also has a passion for the natural world with its many textures and colours.
'I see my jewellery as a very personal art form', she says. 'My pieces are an expression of energy, a bold statement, something more than a simple accessory. Every piece has a little bit of me in it.'
Inspiration for her current ranges comes from a passion for the sea, in particular rockpools, seashell and the movement of the waves.
